Sixteen pieces, two mornings, one empty flat with south-facing windows. Nothing was steamed and nothing was pinned.
Why it looks like this
A lookbook exists to answer one question: what does this actually look like on a person who is not standing still. Studio lighting answers a different question — what does this look like under studio lighting — and every shop that photographs its clothes that way ends up with a return rate it cannot explain.
So: daylight, a room, and the same four people we photograph every season. If a garment creases, it creases in the picture. If a hem sits differently on one body than another, both are here.
What was cut
Eleven frames out of about four hundred. Most of what was cut was cut for the same reason — the garment looked better than it does, which is the one thing a lookbook must not do.
